Elfridges

Volunteers & donations needed!
The children are busily creating some wonderful, carbon-neutral, hand-made gifts to sell in their Elfridges Christmas shop at the end of term!
We are looking for volunteers who can come in to help the children to make their products on the following days:
- Class 3 – Monday & Wednesday afternoon (6th and 8th December) – soap making
- Class 2 – Wednesday afternoon, or Thursday or Friday morning or afternoon (6th, 7th, or 8th December) – re-usable shopping bag making
If anyone has any sewing/fabric scissors we could borrow to help with the shopping bag project, then that would be appreciated.
We need one volunteer on both afternoons for Mr Gamble’s class, and around 4 volunteers for one of the morning or afternoon sessions for Mrs Hickinbotham’s class.
Also, any donations of the following items would be appreciated:
- Old t-shirts, shirts, or thin sweatshirts (no wool)
- Glass jars (to make into candles – they don’t need a lid!)
- Any silicon moulds we could use to make soaps (including silicon loaf tins – we can cut “slices” of soap from these!)
- Any nice essential oils you may have to help add scent to the candles etc.
Thank you!
