Dear all,
With the recent publication for the government’s roadmap for the easing of lockdown restrictions, we feel we can now start cautiously planning for the Fountains 10k race to go ahead as planned in May 2021!
What a relief that we can start planning for fun outdoor events like this again, which will be such a welcome boost to both our fundraising efforts, but also our collective moral after spending what feels like an eternity in relative isolation!
It was decided last year that the event would become a collaborative venture between Fountains and Grewelthorpe schools, and Mark Reed stepped down from the role of race director, handing the baton on to me!
For those of you who don’t know me already, my name is Hannah, and I am currently the Chair of the FROGS fundraising committee. Mark is very kindly providing all sorts of useful information and support to ensure the hand-over of responsibility goes smoothly, but I am very much looking forward to meeting the rest of the team who has either been involved in the running of the event in the past, or those who are interested in helping to make the event a success going forwards!
We only have 2 months to go until the big event, so I am suggesting that we arrange an initial planning meeting on Wednesday 17th March at 8pm via Zoom to start us in the right direction.

As always, many hands make light work with these things, so the more people we have who are able to help out even in a very small way, the more likely we are to be able to make the event a roaring success!
