Time
This week we have been learning about clocks and how to tell the time.
Y1: Go on a clock hunt around your house. How many places can you find a clock. Do they all look the same? Draw some pictures and bring them in to show the rest of the class on Wednesday.
Y2: Practice telling the time with your family. Which is the short minute hand? Which is the long hour hand? Can you spot 'o,clock', 'quarter past', 'half past' and 'quarter to' times?
Reading
The Year 1s have each got a reading practice book to share at home. Please can these be returned to school next Friday so that there are enough books for the next group of children to read.
The Year 2s each have a reading book from the Accelerated Reader Scheme to read and share with their family. These need to be brought into school each day so that children can read them during their independent reading time.
